Britt Reid is a wealthy young man who runs The Daily Sentinel, a major newspaper he inherited from his father. By day, he's a respectable publisher. He’s joined by his loyal partner, Kato, a skilled martial artist and mechanic. Kato builds and drives their high-tech car, The Black Beauty, which is equipped with gadgets and weapons to help them fight crime and escape danger. Unlike superheroes with powers, the Green Hornet relies on his intelligence, disguise, and Kato’s skills to infiltrate gangs and sabotage criminal operations. Because he poses as a criminal himself, the police and public often think he’s a villain — but in truth, he’s working for justice. The Green Hornet uses his role at the newspaper to gather leads and expose corruption, staying one step ahead of both the underworld and law enforcement.
